Review of the projects launched in 2018
Over the course of a year, thousands of events, both big and small, occur in all organisations. Some remain within the company or the customer base; while others have a greater impact by being shared with the general public.
At LANDER, we always aim to present the truest image of our entrepreneurial spirit, reflecting our global outlook, our commitment to people and our expertise in the market niche that is land-based transport.
As such, after Christmas and the New Year, we thought it the perfect time to look back and review the simulation units launched over the past year with our customers.
The start of 2018 and close of 2017 saw the launch of two units of great importance in the growth and expansion of our company.
On the one hand SAPTCO, the largest public transport operator in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, opened a training centre equipped with cutting-edge technology. This included an HDV simulation unit and a trailer-mounted mobile simulator, ready to tour the Persian Golf. Both are fully adapted to the country.
On the other hand, we collaborated with the German operator Rhein-Neckar Verkehr (RNV), on an ambitious project for a training centre equipped with three simulators for driving trams.
In addition to these projects, we should add the new installations on the other side of the Atlantic. This has been a great year for Mexico, with the bus operator ADO introducing a new HDV simulator and the operator SENDA also purchasing a simulation unit. In addition, the prestigious manufacturer DAIMLER joined our list of customers with HDV simulators. And least we forget that another leading manufacturer, VOLVO, also updated their technology last year by adding a vehicle from their own float to the simulator.
Crossing the Pacific Ocean or the Indian Ocean, depending on where we depart from, we can also add the Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) in Manila with its light rail transit simulator.
Finally, we would like to thank Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya (FGC) once again for entrusting us with the updates to its simulation units for railway drivers.
We take great pleasure in seeing that the works carried out in 2018 go hand in hand with our entrepreneurial spirit, reflecting the globalism and product mix that allows us to draw on the synergies between railway, metro, trams and automotive transport.
Our sincerest thanks to all the customers who are part of LANDER. Rest assured that we are working tirelessly on new projects to be revealed in 2019 and the coming years.
