LANDER enters the USA with Tornado Bus Company
The historical relationship that ties Mexico and the United States has led to a constant coming and going of people between one country and another. The renewal of the free trade agreement (known as T-MEC) between both countries and Canada in 2020 has only increased the flow of goods and people in North America.
That is why the US company based in Dallas (Texas), Tornado Bus Company, has been offering bus transport services to passengers for more than 25 years, with the aim of shortening the distances separating these countries in America's northern hemisphere. In short, to bring together families, friends and businesses.
The main problem the executives at Tornado find when running their business is the significant difference between the regulation compliance demands issued by the authorities in Mexico and the United States. As a result, the same driver operating in both countries must take into account the differences in each country and consequently adapt their driving to each location.
This tough reality has meant that in the past the management at Tornado made a commitment to use technology in order to adequately train their drivers, and now, the next step has been to purchase a LANDER model state-of-the-art driving simulator.
In order to satisfy Tornado's particular training needs, LANDER will develop custom software in the simulator where, in addition to offering Mexican scenarios, it will also adapt to the interurban scenario to the US environment. And not just that, but it will also include in the simulator buses similar to those that Tornado operates, such as for example the Prevost, Volvo 9700 and Volvo 9800. Thus, the driver will see a faithful reproduction in the simulator of the environment they drive in daily.
We hope that this first reference by LANDER in the US can be a showcase other American transport companies can see and will raise their interest in purchasing cutting-edge simulators to improve the abilities and skill of their drivers.
