A promising future in store in the wake of InnoTrans 2018

A new week commences following the InnoTrans 2018 trade fair at Messe Berlin. This year's edition of the world's largest transport biennale closed its doors last Friday, although before doing so it also threw open the door to some promising years ahead for rail transport in general, and for LANDER in particular.

The encounter was crammed with the usual events reserved by manufacturers and operators for InnoTrans: presentations of new vehicles and components, the launch of ground-breaking systems and new technology, announcements of new infrastructure projects ...

This year the host country also succeeded in ratifying its total commitment to rail infrastructures. Germany, one of the flagships of the railway industry which leads many of its sectors, has for several years been undergoing a transformation of its transport network, in a bid to renew and modernise with the constant objective of staying ahead of the pack, and hence the importance of this statement of intent.

Some mention should also be made of the en masse attendance by professionals in the sector from Asia: hundreds of visitors from South-East Asia and the Asian continent did much to explain the presence of a huge number of manufacturers, demonstrating and explaining new features to the representatives of a market which for some years now has allocated much of its budget and efforts to developing and improving its structures to transport both passengers and goods.

For LANDER specifically, this meant four particularly intense working days to make our preparations for the months ahead in which we will continue to reach out further around the world, and boost our presence at locations where we have been operational for years. It is for this reason that we wish to extend our particular thanks to all those who gave up a few minutes of their day to visit our stand, inspect our new features, and most particularly give us good reason to continue our daily work.
