Romanian Police to implement LANDER motorcycle simulators
The National police of Romania has awarded Lander Simulation and Business Plus for the development and supply of custom-made motorcycle simulators for the training of its motorcycle officers.
The simulator system will replicate the BMW R 1250 RT model, which is in Politia Romana’s motorcycle fleet. Not only the hardware of the simulator will be that particular motorcycle model, but also the software: this means that the behaviour of the simulator will be a replica of the real BMW motorcycle: the acceleration, braking the weight and dynamic sensations will be highly realistic. The simulator system is a versatile solution with a high level of configurability, allowing the user to configure all parameters of the training scenarios: weather and visibility conditions, motorcycle conditions, road and traffic conditions, specific police operations, emergency situations… etc. This will allow Politia Romana to train their motorcycle police officers in very realistic conditions and train specific situations that are impossible or risky to reproduce in reality. And all of that in a safe environment, at any time of the day and in the facilities of Politia Romana in Bucharest.
The simulator system is currently being developed in Lander Simulation’s headquarters, in San Sebastian, according to the specification of Politia Romana.
