rnv introduces LANDER to the German world of trams
During the summer months, and after a series of meetings both in Mannheim and in San Sebastian, the largest German transport alliance, Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr GmbH (RNV), awarded LANDER its ambitious project to create a simulation training centre in the city of Mannheim.
This project will allow LANDER to become involved in the German world of trams, working alongside the company that not only operates the longest metric gauge network in the country (more than 200 km), but also manages various bus, tram, and commuter lines and two railway lines.
The radius of influence of Mannheim extends to 3 regions of Germany: Baden-Württemberg, Rheinland Pflaz and Hessen, in important industrial and historic centres such as Ludwigshafen, Heidelberg and Mannheim itself, a city which stands out as one of the cradles of modern transport, in whose streets the company Mercedes-Benz took its first steps.
For this project, LANDER will design a simulation center that will combine the maximum realism of the Replica Cabins with the versatility of a Multi-purpose Training Station that will also allow rnv to carry out self-training, thus maximising training hours.
The experience will become part of the LANDER knowledge base along with that in other European projects in countries such as Sweden, Hungary, Poland and the Netherlands. We are also confident of meeting the standards required by rnv, so that with the new training center we achieve an equivalent level of training to that which the German company currently conducts on a daily basis.
A new adventure is beginning at LANDER that we hope will become the cornerstone of a strong relationship with Rhein-Neckar-Verkehr and of future successes in the region.
