Police Car Simulators at Naif - Saudi Arabia
Police Car Simulators at Naif
The Naif Arab University for Security Science (NAUSS), known in the Middle East for its focus on training police forces, is at a pivotal stage. Recognizing the importance of advanced technology in the education and training of its students, the university has initiated an ambitious project to integrate Lander Simulation's police car simulators into its training programs. These simulators, with their ability to recreate realistic scenarios and situations, mark a milestone in the evolution of police training, combining tradition and modernity in a joint effort to enhance the safety and efficiency of law enforcement.
The scope of the project was precisely defined: two police car simulators, specific adaptations of scenarios according to conditions in Saudi Arabia, and other technical specifications promising a fruitful and forward-looking collaboration.
The scale of this project demands meticulous attention to technical details. Collaboration with NAUSS has led to the establishment of specific parameters to ensure the maximum efficiency of the simulators:
- Hardware: Simulators specifically designed for police cars, replicating the essence of these types of vehicles. They are equipped with additional features such as a siren and a touchscreen to simulate the radio experience in a police vehicle, in addition to the Blue Light system.
- Instructor and Observation Stations: Key to an immersive experience, these stations are equipped with the latest technology, featuring a 55-inch screen that provides clear and realistic visuals for effective instruction.
- Software and Scenarios: It’s not just about the hardware. The integrated software offers scenarios adapted to the conditions and challenges of Saudi Arabia, ranging from traffic situations to common automotive incidents and breakdowns, ensuring a realistic simulation.
- Riyadh and Adapted Environments: Across 25 km of Riyadh’s suburban area, students face real driving challenges, complemented by authentic Saudi landscapes, from urban zones to deserts, including a special testing track.
Specific Functionalities and Adaptations:
Focusing on the unique needs of police forces, our simulators are distinguished by their high adaptability and specialized functionalities:
- Blue Light Functionality: Allows for the recreation of emergency situations such as traffic accidents, traffic jams, or high-speed chases with a high degree of realism.
- Co-Simulation Technology: This innovative technology allows two users, in separate simulators, to interact and coexist within the same exercise, promoting richer and more collaborative learning and preparation.
- Customized Evaluation System: Clients can assess the weight of driver errors in each type of exercise. Additionally, they can assign grades and classify the exercises as “passed” or “failed.”
Student feedback has been very positive, highlighting the immersive experience and the opportunity to practice in realistic scenarios without the associated risk.
This advancement in simulation technology reflects NAUSS's ongoing commitment to excellence in police training, preparing future officers to face tomorrow’s challenges in security effectively and professionally.
