Our project directors: a robust and successful multidisciplinary team
Lander’s project directors have worked with more than 90 land transport clients across the globe, including rail operators and logistics firms as well as police academies and airport managers.
Every day, this team demonstrates its ability to work with diverse clients in different fields while providing each one with a tailored service.
What is it that makes Lander’s project directors the keystone of the company?
First off, they are usually highly qualified professionals, including IT staff, industrial engineers and telecommunications experts. In addition to their technical expertise – fundamental to our operations – it is their ability to understand and meet the needs of every client that sets them apart. They are in charge of defining all the details of the equipment and ensuring that it is fully adapted to what each client requires. In short, they provide every partner with a simulator which is 100% tailored to their needs.
Another of their key aptitudes is their ability to lead and coordinate teams and diverse tasks, usually within very tight deadlines, whether managing work groups for the physical design of the equipment, complex mathematical models, 3D virtual scenarios or other software jobs. They also make sure project deadlines are met, managing the various phases including equipment definition, development, validation and delivery. In this last phase, they are responsible for training the staff who will ultimately use the simulators.
We would like to highlight the experience of two of our project directors: Alex Villanueva and Ignacio Mansa. This pair have worked on more than 40 completed projects and share the same views on the most satisfying aspect of their work at Lander: ‘Understanding and materialising the specific needs of each client, and seeing that all our efforts contribute to the safety of thousands of people following project implementation’
