Lander simulators already in operation in LRT2 Manila
The simulator system developed by LANDER for LRT2 Manila has already been installed and commissioned in the Recto Station.
The training system consists of two train driving stations, one instructor station and one observation facility for collective training. The system allows driving one train model in the LRT2 line between Recto and Santolan stations. Both the train and the railway line have been realistically reproduced virtually, including the line signaling, the passenger stations and the sceneries of Manila. The result is a virtual world that exactly reproduces the real elevated metro line.
The simulator system allows training the LRT2 operation both in normal and degraded conditions, including scenarios and situations that could not be trained in reality, all in a safe and controlled environment. By training in the simulator system, the train captains will acquire the necessary skills to react properly and quickly if they faced any potential situation in the real operation.
By the implementation of this state-of-the-art training system, LRTA will elevate their training standards to a higher level, this resulting in a safer operation and better service provided to LRT2 passengers.
We thank our local partner Kempal Construction and Supply Limited for making this implementation a success and congratulations LRTA for the new simulator training facility.
