Lander Simulation in attendance as an expert company at the 17th Exporail 2018 in Mexico

Our Area Manager Ander Iraola attended the 17th Exporail Congress 2018 in Cancún, the jewel of the Mexican Caribbean, as an expert in railway operator training systems.

The event, organised by the Mexican Association of Railroads (Asociación Mexicana de Ferrocarriles, A.C (AMF)) was staged to showcase trends, activities and the short/medium-term challenges ahead for the passenger/cargo rail transport sector in the country of the Aztecs.

Exporail has now been consolidated as one of the Latin American railway industry's major events, and the congress addressed issues of particular interest to the sector. The issues, inter alia, focused on the progress made on construction of Line 3 of the Guadalajara Light Rail System (92%), Line 3 of the Monterrey Metro (85%), and progress on the high-speed Mexico City-Toluca commuter train, which will have a simulation system developed by Lander for the capacitation of operators.

The congress gave us the chance to gain an insight at close quarters into major investment projects in Mexico, and to meet operators, manufacturers and other rail solution specialists. It was certainly an excellent opportunity to gain a better understanding of the challenges faced by operators, and to adapt our solutions to these challenges.
