Lander to develop the driving simulator to train future Mauritius Metro Express drivers
In August 2017, L&T was awarded the project to design and build the future Metro on the island of Mauritius. The scope of the project contemplated construction of the infrastructure, in addition to supply of signalling equipment, rolling stock and the driving simulator.
This is the country's first rail operation, and the employee training process is a major challenge in terms of commissioning the system. A driving simulator will help train staff and guarantee an efficient safe service.
There can be no doubt this project will change the face of transportation on the island. At Lander we are delighted to be able to make our own modest contribution to this large-scale project.
