JMS Krakow now boasts driving simulators developed together with LANDER

Last Friday, JMS, training academy for drivers in Krakow, presented the simulation equipment it has developed in conjunction with LANDER. The presentation took place at a technical seminar, to which a number of the country’s operating companies were invited, and where the emphasis was on the growing importance of safety culture in the railway sector in the country.

It was a full and rewarding day. The President of the UTK, the public body regulating rail transport, offered details about future legislation concerning training in the railway industry, as well as congratulating JMS for this major step forward. The rolling stock manufacturer NEWAG also had the opportunity to give a presentation about rolling stock. And finally, accompanied by a demonstration of the simulators, the LANDER team took the opportunity to explain the features and benefits of simulator training to the attendees.

JMS is a company that provides services to railway operators in the country through the training of drivers and the subcontracting of its own drivers to operating companies. The simulation equipment that JMS has developed with LANDER comprises two training stations, a trainer station and an observer station. In each driving position two locomotives are simulated, one electric and one diesel, from the manufacturer NEWAG. With the acquisition of this state-of-the-art simulation equipment, JMS aims to guarantee excellent training for its drivers.

For LANDER it has been a pleasure to work with the Polish enterprise for the first time, among other things because of the great trust they have placed in the company from the very beginning, listening to advice when it came to making important decisions involving the adaptation of the project to their needs. The result of this collaboration has been excellent and JMS begins this new phase, which is sure to be very successful, with great enthusiasm.
