CPTM inaugurates engineer Fluvio Grossmann Simulators
On 6 April, CPTM officially inaugurated the fifth training centre with equipment installed by LANDER at a ceremony attended by Directors and Managers of the company. The Director of Operations and Maintenance, Vitor García; the General Operations Manager, Wellington José Berganton; Engineer Jose Américo Pelloso and others involved with the project took part in the event.
LANDER announced this news several weeks ago following the installation of the centre, but on this occasion we are also reporting the moving event held by CPTM in Suzano station. And the news is that the new simulator centre has been named after a recently deceased employee of CPTM, the engineer Fulvio Grossmann, in recognition of his 40 years of outstanding service.
His colleagues at CPTM and everyone at LANDER will always fondly recall both his expertise in mechanical engineering and his outstanding knowledge of other disciplines (history, literature, geography...). He was undoubtedly a wise man who was always prepared to share his wisdom with his CPTM colleagues and the companies with which he worked.
When LANDER entered Brazil in 2018 with the initial CPTM project, Fulvio was the first person to welcome us with open arms. He showed us everything that a company must know not only to start a new project but also to adapt to the working culture of a country with which we were unfamiliar at that point. We worked for many years with Fulvio and thanks to our successful collaboration we were able to ensure that the first training centres were a success. A great champion of simulators and of the work of LANDER, his professionalism and commitment but above all his qualities as a human being made it a huge pleasure to work with him.
At LANDER we feel proud to have one of our training centres named after the illustrious engineer Fulvio Grossmann.
May you rest in peace Fulvio.
