BTS orders a new driving simulator for Bangkok Monorail

Lander has just been awarded a new contract for the supply of a driving simulator for Bangkok Monorail. The monorail, which will consist of two lines (yellow and pink), is currently at the construction stage and it is expected to be in operation by 2020. The operation has been awarded to BTS, which is also the operator of Bangkok’s famous Skytrain. With this award BTS will become the largest mass transport operator in Thailand and it will train its drivers using state-of-the-art simulation technology developed by Lander.

The simulator system will consist of a replica desktop driving station, one instructor station and one observer station. It will contain a virtual track network of the pink and yellow lines and it will allow driving the bombardier Innovia 300 Monorail both in normal and degraded conditions.

This is the second order of simulator systems currently in development by Lander for Thailand. In 2017 BTS ordered a simulator system for Bangkok Skytrain. Follow this link for more information about BTS Skytrain Simulator.
