ALSA acknowledged for its continuous efforts to improve training

This year National Express held its annual convention for all of its divisions at ALSA's installations in Spain, an event that has been held outside the UK for the first time.

The bus company from Asturias, which started in 1923, currently transports more than 144 million passengers and is present in most of the European Union and Northern Africa. The company has always stood out thanks to the constant and innovative effort it makes in the field of training. As a result, it had the chance to show NE, the company it belongs to, how it carried out its workers' training.

During the convention, the safety managers from NE visited the training centre that the company has in Asturias. The centre features a driving simulator developed by the local bus company with LANDER. ALSA showed NE how it trains its drivers in real situations of risk, with both trainee drivers and experienced drivers who go through retraining every 5 years. NE considered this tool to be fundamental to avoid accidents and to correct bad driving habits, among other aspects.

LANDER had the fortune of being able to be there with them on such an important day, supporting ALSA as a technological partner to improve their driver training schemes.
