28th General Assembly of Alamys
The General Assembly of Alamys took place in Mexico City from 7th to 10th December. On this occasion, supported by the Collective Train System (STC), it coincided with its 45th anniversary as the most important metro in Latin America.
During this Assembly the metro and underground systems from all over Latin America have gathered, sharing experiences and common topics. The main topic of the event, which gathered more than 200 main members, adherents and participants from around the world, was the discussion of the "Fare Policy and Forms of Payment", undoubtedly a relevant debate for all the metro operators of Latin America.
Coinciding with this congress, there was an exhibition fair where important manufacturers of rolling stock and other technologies from the railway transport sector
were present with their stands, with a high attendance of public and a large impact within the event. We had the opportunity to learn about the latest technological advances.
Among the conferences that we had the chance to attend, which were all highly technical in content, we could highlight the presentation of the new projects of the Mexico City Metro, by Joel Ortega, Director-General of the STC.
We would like to congratulate Alamys and the STC for the excellent organisation, not only in the conferences, but also in the adjacent events. It is worth remembering that the STC has the Lander training simulators for Line 12, developed jointly with the engineers of the STC.
