Jakarta's Mass Rapid Transit relies on LANDER for its metro simulator
MRT Jakarta (Mass Rapid Transit Jakarta) has selected LANDER as its supplier to provide new metro simulation equipment. This new contract has been secured through our strategic partnership in Indonesia with PT Multiintegra.
MRT is a rapid transit transport system in Jakarta. The system is operated by PT Mass Rapid Transit, a public company as defined by the country’s commercial law, which is a common form of business entity operated in Indonesia.
Jakarta is Indonesia's most populous city. It is home to ten million people, and this figure rises to 30 million in its metropolitan area. In Jakarta, the main mode of transport is small minibuses operated by private companies. The Jakarta Metro opened in 2019, representing a milestone as Indonesia's first metro system. Future plans include expansion lines to alleviate congestion in the city.
Thanks to the simulators, students will be able to tackle situations with varying degrees of difficulty, from the most common to the most demanding and potentially dangerous.
This project expands LANDER's presence in the country, following on from the installation for LRT JABODEBEK in 2022.
In relation to hardware, the project includes two replica training station desks, allowing students to practise and gain experience in an environment with the same controls and indicators as in real life situations. The cab will be set up in such a way that its appearance and equipment fully match those of the actual cab console. It will also include two simplified training stations, one instructor station, and one observation station to facilitate group interaction and allow students to closely follow the activities of their colleagues.
With regard to the software, one train and 16 kilometres of line one will be simulated, with true-to-life surroundings and its signalling system, in this case ATP/ATO GO A2/CBTC.
We at Lander would like to express our sincere thanks to MRT for having placed their trust in LANDER to carry out this project. We would not wish to overlook the crucial role played by PT Multiinetgra and sincerely thank them for their valuable contribution. We look forward to continuing our collaboration in future projects.
