ComfortDelGro Driving Center once again places its trust in the use of driving simulators
For the past two years, those looking to obtain car and motorbike licences in Singapore have completed their training on the smart simulation systems installed at the ComfortDelGro Driving Center, Singapore Safety Driving Center, and Bukit Batok Driving Center driving schools.
This pioneering mandatory simulator training was promoted by the Singapore Traffic Police Force and supported by the Ministry of Home Affairs, with the aim of instilling good driving habits and introducing future drivers to real-life situations they might encounter. The smart simulation system takes drivers through various unexpected risk scenarios on geo-specific roads in Singapore to provide more comprehensive training. These scenarios represent the main causes of road accidents, and are not possible to replicate in real life because of the risk they pose. Simulators, on the other hand, are the appropriate environment for this training.
In November 2019, the driving schools installed 19 car and motorbike training stations, with over 700 students using each one every month. Now, as a result of the continuous demand for the use of the equipment and the satisfactory results, ComfortDelGro is once again placing its trust in Lander and in the coming months will install two additional car training stations.
The new equipment will have similar features and functionalities to the previous ones, allowing those looking to obtain the 3 and 3A licences to complete three driving sessions on the simulator before being able to book an appointment to take the practical test.
We at Lander would like to thank ComfortDelGro for the trust they place in us. We continue to work to support them throughout the lifespan of the simulators.
