Líneas 1 de Mayo adapts to the new times to train truck drivers in Mexico
With the outbreak of COVID-19, the freight transport segment has seen its workload doubled as it works to ensure the supply of essential goods – and now vaccines.
That’s why the company Líneas 1 de Mayo, dedicated to cargo transportation and based in Piedras Negras, Mexico, has decided to focus its efforts on training truck drivers. In this way the company aims to ensure that the many routes travelled are increasingly safe.
The training will be carried out with a state-of-the-art Lander simulator, which is designed to be easily cleaned and disinfected with minimal expense. In addition, it facilitates social distancing due to the high modularity of the training, instruction and observation stations. Apart from training its own drivers, Líneas 1 was also determined to contribute to the training of any drivers interested in improving their driving skills. The measure was aimed at combating the great shortage of drivers in the country at the current time.
There is no doubt that requirements for transport around the world are becoming more selective, with the user demanding greater safety, hygiene and properly trained professional drivers. That’s why every day more transport companies such as Líneas 1 de Mayo decide to incorporate state-of-the-art simulators. This type of measure not only benefits the company, growing its business, it also improves road safety and the safety of the citizens as a whole.
