Girteka Logistics, a leading company in the transport sector, opens its first simulation centre for drivers.
The centre is part of its strategy for the pursuit of excellence in driving. The World Road Transport Organisation (IRU) itself has recognised 11 of its drivers as being among the best professionals in the sector.
Girteka Logistics continues its pursuit of excellence in the driving of heavy vehicles. As part of this endeavour, it has launched its first driver simulation centre with LANDER. The centre will help its drivers to gain technical skills that will allow the company to achieve high energy efficiency rates through ECO driving. In addition, it will have a direct impact on increasing road safety and the safe transport of loads by road.
Founded in 1996 in Lithuania and with a fleet of 8,000 trucks, Girteka Logistics is an indisputable market leader. Its 15,000 plus professional drivers are the key to its success: the company focuses a large part of its effort on maintaining a very high level of training for each and every driver. To date, it has completed more than 51,000 training sessions in different areas of driving, with a special emphasis on safety and efficiency. It is expected that in the coming months, thousands of its drivers will start training with the simulators at the Vilnius headquarters, which will include real scenarios that involve danger and cannot be experienced without a simulator.
We are grateful for the trust placed in us and congratulate Girteka Logistics for this new milestone that will undoubtedly mark a before and after in the training of professional drivers in the private sector in Europe.
