Thuringia opens up the doors of Germany's police forces to Lander
One of LANDER's main focuses recently has been the creation of a full range of simulators for police forces. Products with hardware adapted not only to police vehicles, but also to the daily tasks and functions of police officers (use of lights and sirens, communications etc.). The hardware is also accompanied by a truly revolutionary software package for training in emergency mode, in high-risk situations etc.
This initiative, largely on the basis of an initial project for the police force in Mexico City, has continued to work the oracle for LANDER on the international stage with other customers in several continents.
In the wake of this experience, in September the Police in the German state of Thuringia opened up the doors of the country's police forces to us. The police in the state of Thuringia is one of 16 forces in Germany, where the constitution makes provision for a national police force and policing competences in all 16 federal states.
LANDER will be installing a police car simulator at the police training academy in Meiningen, adapted to the vehicles used on a daily basis by the Thüringer Polizei. This specific project will also feature a number of specific incidences which the police felt were extremely important for its new trainees. As always, of course, we will adapt the simulator to German realities.
The commencement of this project has been a major boost to LANDER's work on police car simulators, and most particularly to our policy of bringing Europe our cutting-edge simulation technology for transportation and driving in high-risk situations.
We are extremely grateful to the Thuringia Police Force for their confidence in our work and their innovative attitude in using the latest facilities for their daily training activities. We hope this will be the first of many years and many projects together!
