LANDER in the Urban and Metropolitan National Transport Congress planned by ATUC

The XVII Congress of the Urban and Public Transport Association, ATUC, under the name "For a more sustainable city: Planning, Management and Financing" was held last October in the Basque city of San Sebastian.

To the conference organized in the Victoria Eugenia’s Theater attended the most important actors of the national urban transport management, together with other international guests of this field. General Secretary of ATUC, Fidel Angulo, directed the conference on a stage full of friendship and good work environment.

Among participants were Patrick Vautier (President of the International Public Transport Association), Concepción Gutierrez del Castillo (Secretary of State for Transport, Development Ministry), Miguel Ruiz (President of ATUC), Ignasi Armigal (European Affairs Committee), Josu Benaito (Transport Director of Basque Government), Ernesto Gasco (Transport Deputy Counsellor of the Basque Government) and Messe Guido (General Director of the Italian Transport Association, ASSTRA)

There were gived differents national points of view, and in addition, Rita Lapa, Commercial Manager of OTLIS Lisboa, Gerardo Lertxundi, Mobility Director of San Sebastian’s Council and Mario Valbuena, Operations Director of Transmilenio Bogota, shared their respective experiences in the last years which let them to be a reference in their countries.

LANDER didn’t want to lose this important event and helped carrying the LANDER SIMBIO. The audience could see, in first-hand and driving themselves, the high degree of immersion offered by the simulation equipments and that they are nowadays a very useful tool to complete the professional drivers training.
