Lander to supply Diesel Locomotive Simulators for Bangladesh Railway

Bangladesh Railway locomotive drivers will be trained in state-of-the-art motion simulators developed by Lander. The project funded by Asian Development Bank has recently been awarded to Lander and the contract signature ceremony was held on September 26 in Dhaka. The contract includes the design, development, supply and maintenance of 2 diesel locomotive simulators that will transmit highly realistic sensations to the drivers thanks to the motion platforms of 6 degrees of freedom. These custom made high-tech simulators will run on the Dhaka-Chittagong and Dhaka-Khulna virtual railway lines. The scope includes also the construction of the building where the custom made simulators will be installed.

Thanks to these state-of-the-art simulators, Bangladesh Railway will bring the training standards to the highest level, with the aim of improving the service and making the railway systems safer and more efficient.
