Lander was present at the Exporail 2016 International Congress

The Exporail 2016 Congress was held last week in the Mexican city of Acapulco. This congress is organised annually by the AMF (Mexican Railway Association) and after its 15th edition, it can be considered an obligatory event at a global level for the freight and passenger railway sector.

During the inauguration, those of us there had the pleasure of attending conferences by distinguished leaders such as Bsc. Gerardo Ruiz Esparza, Secretary of Communications and Transport. Representing STC Metro from Mexico City were both BSc. Jorge Gaviño, Director-General, and Eng. Fernando Espino, Secretary-General of the STC’s National Trade Union, who talked about the current situation of the Metro, currently one of the most important mass passenger systems.

As for the installed Exhibition, all the rolling stock manufacturers and main suppliers exhibited the market’s most advanced technology. This large display highlights the great moment Mexico is going through, a country ready to launch big railway infrastructure projects, consolidating the freight market and at the same time, making a commitment to passenger transport with new projects such as the Line 3 in Monterrey, the Mexico-Toluca inter-urban train, the Line 3 of Siteur and Line 1 of the STC.

At LANDER we would like to offer our congratulations for a superb congress in the city of Acapulco, for the perfect organisation of the event, and for the number of attendees and exhibitors.
