LANDER represented in the 5th MAFEX International Railway Conference

The Spanish Railway Association MAFEX, directed by its President Mr Victor Ruiz, is holding its 5th International Railway Conference the 15th, 16th, and 17th this week in Seville.

Since its creation eleven years ago, MAFEX has been able to position itself internationally as a fundamental link between the Spanish railway company and the global railway market. Success also due in part thanks to support from the Spanish Government and ICEX, which work tirelessly so that Spain continues to be a global reference point. This public-private collaboration is a key instrument for internationalisation, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises.

The General Director of SMSEs for the Ministry of Industry, Energy, and Tourism, Mr Victor Audera, has emphasized the important international work that is being carried out by the sector to be able to show the world the spectacular solutions that are being developed in the country, but also invited attendees to promote the creation of national clusters where the sector joins forces. To do this, major support from the Ministry was announced for the creation of these clusters next year in 2016 in order to democratise innovation.

Along these lines, Adif President, Mr Gonzalo Ferre, encouraged companies to continue improving.

Public transport is a fundamental service that must be offered to society, and we as companies have the hugely important mission of continuing to innovate to make this costly transport system ever more efficient and profitable.

In this the 5th MAFEX Conference, we have the pleasure of attending interesting presentations that will present the strategic plans of various countries, the experiences of operators, and the solutions that companies are implementing with their clients. Without a doubt, the presence of Middle Eastern and South-East Asian countries of great interest to the Spanish company make this business opportunity very attractive. This without forgetting fundamental markets like Latin America and Europe, which are represented by Lander's partners such as CPTM (Brazil).

This is a great networking opportunity for the railway sector which we hope is best taken advantage of by all participants.

We would once again like to thank MAFEX for this opportunity, and we wish them great success in this convention and in the years to come.
