Road safety is everyone’s business
This month the European commission has published the accident figures for 2017 in comparison with those of other years and the results are not good, "according to the analysis by the ETSC, road traffic deaths would now have to fall by 11.5% per year to meet the European Union's goal of reducing deaths by half by the 2020s".
It is clear that the goals set in recent years are not being achieved, but in the European Union they are aware that “road traffic accidents cause some 500 deaths per week in Europe", and that we all have to try to get involved and make our own small contribution. That is why they agree that "member states must prioritise compliance measures again" and modify them so that they are more efficient.
With the motto that road safety is everyone’s business, at LANDER we want to support the cause by teaching responsible driving, #RoadSafetyEveryonesBusiness.
